This Privacy Policy describes how SmartCalc (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) handles your information when you use the SmartCalc: Finance Calculator Android application.

1. Information We Collect

Information stored on your device only

• Calculation history — calculations you save are stored locally on your device using SharedPreferences. This data is never transmitted to any server.
• App preferences — theme setting (dark/light mode) stored locally.

Information collected by third-party services

Google AdMob SmartCalc displays ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect:

• Device advertising ID
• Approximate location (country/region level)
• App usage data for ad personalization

AdMob’s data collection is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.

Google Firebase Analytics SmartCalc uses Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used. This collects:

• Which calculators are opened (no input values, only calculator names)
• Anonymous usage events (e.g. “document section opened”)
• Device type, OS version, country

All Analytics data is anonymous and aggregated. No personally identifiable information is collected.

Google Firebase Crashlytics When the app crashes, Crashlytics sends an anonymous crash report including:

• Device model and OS version
• Stack trace at time of crash
• No personal data or calculation inputs

Firebase data is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or any personal identity
• We do not store your financial inputs or calculation results on any server
• We do not require account creation or login
• We do not share any data with third parties beyond the services listed above
• We do not sell your data

3. Permissions

SmartCalc requests the following Android permissions:

Permission	Why
INTERNET	Load ads, fetch live market rates, Firebase reporting
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE	Check connectivity before fetching live data

No other permissions are requested.

4. Children’s Privacy

SmartCalc is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

5. Data Retention

All locally stored data (history, preferences) remains on your device until:

• You clear the app data from Android Settings
• You uninstall the app

6. Data Deletion

To delete all data stored by SmartCalc:

1. Open Android Settings
2. Go to Apps → SmartCalc
3. Tap Clear Data

This permanently removes all saved calculations and preferences.

Alternatively, uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.

For data held by third-party services (AdMob, Firebase), please refer to their respective privacy policies and opt-out tools.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
